Who we are
Hire Better Nerds builds authority websites for small businesses. This policy covers hirebetternerds.co and the work we do for clients. Questions about any of it go to hello@hirebetternerds.co.
What we collect
Two kinds of information, and not much of either:
- What you give us. When you book a call or email us — your name, email, business details, and anything you choose to share about your site. Booking runs through our scheduling provider (Cal.com), which collects the time you pick and your contact details.
- What gets collected automatically. Basic, anonymised analytics — pages visited, rough location, device and browser — so we know what is working. No tracking pixels following you around the web.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, sensitive information. Please do not send it to us.
How we use it
- To reply to you and schedule a call.
- To build, host, and maintain your site if you become a client.
- To send the occasional update about your project or our service. No spam, and you can opt out any time.
- To understand how this site is used so we can make it better.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data — ever. We share it only with the tools that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Scheduling — Cal.com, to book your call.
- Hosting and email — the providers that keep the site online and carry our messages.
- Analytics — to measure traffic in aggregate.
Each of these has its own privacy terms. We pick providers that take it as seriously as we do. We will also share information if the law genuinely requires it.
Cookies and analytics
We keep cookies to a minimum — the few we use help the site work and let us count visits anonymously. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings without breaking anything important.
How long we keep it
Only as long as it is useful. Enquiry details stick around while we are talking and for a reasonable window after. Client records we keep for as long as you are a client, plus what we need for tax and legal reasons. Ask us to delete your data and we will, unless we are legally required to hold it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop using it. One email to hello@hirebetternerds.co does it — no forms, no hoops.
Other sites we link to
When we link out — to a client site, a tool, or anywhere else — that site runs under its own privacy policy, not ours. Have a read before you hand over anything.
Children's privacy
This is a service for businesses. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we update this page and move the date at the top. Big changes, we will tell you directly.
